Take stainless steel 316LCu as an example, it contains copper elements in particular and has good corrosion resistance. It is used in the production of fiber dryer mesh belts in the chemical fiber industry and roasting furnace mesh belts in the catalyst industry.
Comparison between 314 and 310S
1️⃣314 has relatively low carbon and copper content, which improves corrosion resistance and reduces impurities in the material.
2️⃣314 has more silicon and manganese than 310s, and has better high temperature resistance and tensile strength.
3️⃣310s has a lower silicon content and better toughness.
Difference between 316 and 316L
1️⃣316 has a higher carbon content, excellent tensile resistance, and high strength, but it is easy to cause intergranular corrosion.
2️⃣316L has a lower strength than 316 and is easy to process.
3️⃣The welded section of 316 stainless steel needs to be annealed after welding, while 316L stainless steel does not.
4️⃣316L has stronger corrosion resistance and better anti-rust and anti-corrosion performance.
The difference between 316 and 304
