Main application scenarios
(1) Heating elements
Heating wire/resistance wire: used in electric furnaces, ovens, electric kettles, etc. due to high resistivity and high temperature resistance.
Industrial heating elements: such as furnaces and heat treatment equipment, can work for a long time at above 1100°C.
(2) High temperature resistors
Precision resistance elements used in high temperature environments, such as heating control systems in aerospace equipment19.
(3) Thermocouple wires
Some thermocouples (such as K-type) use nickel-based alloys, and Cr20Ni80 can be used as compensation wires or high-temperature thermocouple materials.
(4) Other industrial applications
High temperature sensors: used in temperature measurement equipment due to their high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance.
Chemical equipment: Corrosion resistance makes it suitable for some acidic or oxidizing environments.
Advantages and limitations
Advantages:
Good high temperature stability and strong oxidation resistance.
Low magnetism, suitable for electromagnetic sensitive equipment.
Stable resistance value, suitable for precision temperature control systems.
Limitations:
Weak corrosion resistance in strong acids (such as HCl, H₂SO₄).
High cost, affected by nickel price fluctuations.
